I'm so pleased to introduce "The Petitie Collection", a series of small paintings from a recent challenge to paint "live" everyday during January.
The experience gave me an opportunity to explore new ideas, try different techniques and learn to paint with a better focus on composition and color balance. The framed paintings, oil on canvas board, range in size from 5" x 7" to 8" x 10" and are available.
Check out my "Blog" to learn more about my participation in the 31January Strada Easel Challenge.

Unique Fine Art Accessories from VIDA
This spring you can shop for surprisingly unique designs inspired by bright flowers blooming in my garden, including these scarfs, "Heirloom" and "Burning Heart", made from 100% modal, a luxuriously soft botanic silk fabric made out of European beechwood. Because of modal's botanic origin, it is particularly
eco-friendly and its fineness is comparable to that of natural silk.

This gallery wrapped oil painting (24" x 36" x 2") of the cascades at the historic Bellefontaine Cemetery was juried into the recent "Maturity and Its Muse: Celebrating Artistic Experience" exhibition at Art Saint Louis.
During a photo shoot last sumer at this historic landmark cemetery in north St. Louis, I discovered the incredible beauty of the landscape featuring native perennials and
a meandering stream flowing into a pond with waterlillies and cascading over native limestone boulders.
"The Eagles Nest"
Every year hundreds of eagles fly from Alaska to an area along the Mississippi River north of St Louis to spend the winter. The historic Chain of Rocks Bridge provides a wonderful viewing point to watch the eagles catch fish. This painting, “The Eagle’s Nest”, features my grandkids, Eric and Carlie Miranda, from a photo taken by their mom, Sheila, during an Eagle Days on the bridge event several years ago. Their priceless expression was really fun to paint.
Commissions Welcomed: If you are considering an original piece for home or office, please feel free to drop me a note to discuss ideas. firstname.lastname@example.org
